ELTO Helpdesk Top tips
Guidance from the Helpdesk on how to get the best out of the system
The Helpdesk have identified 3 areas on which they get a number of queries.
Helpdesk Top tips - Dummy data
On review of the search data, we have noticed many users use dummy information regarding their claimant. A generic name, National Insurance Number and other various details. ELTO knows through feedback that users feel it takes too long to input this information. We acknowledge that it takes time to input this information however it is important information that allows us to monitor whether individual claimants are getting successful results from the service. Without the Name and National Insurance Number we are unable to do this.
We would like to confirm that the permitted purpose of ELTO is to use our service only in respect of a claim and/or only in so far as it is permitted pursuant to the Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969 and or reasonably required to give legal advice in relation to a claim. Omitting the claimant information or using dummy information may suggest that ELTO is not being used for the correct purposes. Please ensure you use the correct claimant data within the ELTO search in order to abide by the Terms and Conditions.
Helpdesk Top tips - Password resets
Feedback from users has informed us password resets frequently cause issues. Passwords are required to be reset every 90 days for security purposes. Some of the common issues we have found are:
- Saving passwords in your browser - we would recommend using caution when saving your password in your browser as when a password reset is required, it can cause a conflict and lock your account.
- Please check the password you are submitting and ensure it includes the required password format
- You can reset your password yourself online or via your Key Account User
