A Part VII transfer is a legal process under which an insurance company can transfer its insurance policies to another insurance company, in accordance with strict rules and with the prior approval (known as “sanction”) of the High Court of England and Wales.
The World Marine & General Insurance PLC, QBE UK Limited and R&Q Eta Company Ltd to Inceptum Insurance Company Limited – Part VII Transfer
The World Marine & General Insurance PLC (“WMG”), R&Q Eta Company Ltd (“Eta”) and QBE UK Limited (“QBEUK”) are proposing to transfer to Inceptum Insurance Company Limited (“Inceptum”) all of the general insurance business of WMG and Eta and part of the general insurance business of QBEUK Limited by means of an insurance business transfer scheme under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

Transfer of AGF Insurance Limited (AGF) and Catalina London Limited (CLL) to Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited (CWIL)
AGF Insurance Limited (AGF) and Catalina London Limited (CLL) (the Transferors) are each proposing to transfer the entirety of the general insurance and reinsurance business they have written and/or assumed to Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited (CWIL) in accordance with the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The Proposed Transfer is expected to take effect at 23:59 GMT on 30 November 2022 if approved by the Court. The Court hearing is due to take place on 18 November 2022 at the High Court of Justice, 7 Rolls Building, Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1NL, United Kingdom.

Transfer of Zurich’s UK general insurance business from Zurich Insurance plc (ZIP) to Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (ZIC).
Following the UK’s exit from the European Union on 31 January 2020 (Brexit), we will be transferring parts of Zurich’s UK general insurance business from Zurich Insurance plc (ZIP) to Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (ZIC) on 1 January 2023. This is an internal reorganisation between two companies within the Zurich Group and policy terms, administration and service levels will not be affected.

Argo transfers 2017 and prior business to RiverStone
With effect from 1st January 2021, Argo Managing Agency Limited (“Argo”), on behalf of Syndicate 1200, has agreed to carry out a Reinsurance to Close (“RITC”) for the 2017 and prior Years Of Account with RiverStone Managing Agency's (“RiverStone”) Syndicate 3500. As a result RiverStone will be responsible for the handling of Employers Liability claims.
